Dear Friends: As we begin the week that will lead to Donald Trump’s inauguration as President of the United States, Silvio and I have arranged to interview a wonderful woman who can give us some insights about the man. So, please join me this Wednesday, Jan. 18th at 10 am PST/noon Central/1:00 pm Eastern Standard time on Canto Talk (click HERE for the live show or for the podcast after).
As with all shows, Egypt will be mentioned. In this case, I will have to lead off the show with Egypt, because that is how I met Terry Lee Ebert Mendozza. We both share a love of the movie Cleopatra, the 1963 version with Elizabeth Taylor, and are on a Facebook group celebrating the film.
However, she took her passion to the galactic level by designing her entire home in an ancient Egyptian theme…including a private theater that replicates the final scene in the iconic film.
The scene:
The room:
There is cool. Then, there is having Cleopatra’s tomb as your home theater cool.
After I became Facebook friends with Terry, we discovered we had politics in common. In this case, our support of Donald J. Trump for President.
Unlike your humble blogger, Terry actually knows Donald Trump. Here is a photo of the two at Mar-a-lago during the New Year’s celebration.
As I had no dog in the primary race, I formally began my support when he became the GOP nominee. However, she was an early supporter of Trump during his successful primary and general election campaigns. She was a founding member of the Trumpettes. Hollywood reporter turned bicoastal socialite Toni Holt Kramer explains:
You might wonder how this began. It was September 19th, 2015 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Suzi Goldsmith, myself, Terry Lee Ebert Mendozza and Janet Levy were attending an annual Animal Humane Association event with our dear friend Lois Pope, whose Board we all sit on, called LIFE.
The four of us decided we needed to do something to make sure Donald J. Trump becomes President, so at 7.00 p.m. that evening, The Trumpettes were born.
A little over five months later we have women from California to Florida and across this great country doing what the Trumpettes set out to do, making people, particularly women, aware of what a great President and savior of our country, Donald J. Trump will be.
The ladies were most recently featured in Vanity Fair, in a piece reviewing Trump’s motivation behind purchasing Mar-a-lago and how he developed it.
“Well, my God, the man is a born winner!” Toni Holt Kramer told me in her grand Palm Beach home. A former Hollywood reporter and the wife of retired car dealer Robert David “Bobby” Kramer, she is the bubbly blonde founder of the Trumpettes, Donald Trump’s most die-hard fans. During the campaign the Trumpettes shouted their allegiance to their hero from sound trucks, and later in the halls of Mar-a-Lago, where they celebrated his victory. “Donald Trump will do whatever it takes to win!” Kramer enthusiastically told me. “People who succeed can’t always be delicate debutantes!”
We will have a lot of fun as we get ready for Friday’s festivities. Please join us!!!
