Dear Readers: Tonight, it is my pleasure to introduce a long-time blogging buddy who has authored a great series on the Obama Mafia – Bruce Woodhull. He will be on Canto Talk tonight (7 pm PST/9 pm CT/10 pm EST, Aug. 1; click HERE for podcast link).
This is Bruce’s follow-up book to “Omaha in the Time of Saints“:
A Mafia don bargains with his immortality while secretly planning to assassinate the President of the United States. The don of the Omaha organized crime family eventually becomes involved with other mob families on the assassination plot that includes the CIA and the Vatican. The story takes place in Omaha in the early 1960’s. A fictional account that takes the reader inside the mob’s own neighborhood built in the Omaha suburbs. Characters interact with real historical figures and incidents.
I have to say that one of my favorite books is Mario Puzo’s, “The Godfather”. I read that during the summer just a few years ago. While I loved the first 2 movies, the book was far more engrossing than I ever imagined. The first few pages of “Wild Indians” is as gripping as anything in Puzo’s tome.
Given the state of our government today, especially in California, being versed on Mafia tactics is not a bad idea!
