Dear Readers: I offer you the defining quote of the 2010 election cycle. Its origin? Nevada’s Senate debate last night, during which citizen candidate Sharron Angle demolished the inanity of four-term Democrat Senate incumbent and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Michelle Malkin reports:
And in the quotable quote of the night, Angle pricked Reid’s delusions about the teetering Social Security system with two terse words:
Left Coast Rebel has the full video HERE.
It will now become my quote of the week until Nov. 2nd! Speaking of “man up”, my beloved husband got “Tea Party” on the San Diego Board of Education (who sent a piece of propaganda in the form of a YES on PROP J flyer home with my son the other day). He got some response from his email campaign (details HERE). Here are 2 response he received:
San Diego County Taxpayers Association
Thank you for reaching out to us and for sending us this pamphlet. We were similarly angered when we received word that the District was handing this out to its students. We also agree that it is one-sided and we would have loved to opportunity to present a more balanced case. Unfortunately, after speaking with several experts on the matter, it turns out that it is likely within the District’s rights to produce “informational” pieces like this.
We also agree with you that if this parcel tax passes, money would go toward teacher and administrator salary increases. The District should be honest and forthcoming with the public about this. Even if it doesn’t happen with the very money from the parcel tax, other money currently being used for the parcel tax purposes will be supplanted to pay for it. As I am sure you are aware, teachers aren’t the only ones out for large salary increases—the District likes to treat all of its employees equally.
The San Diego County Taxpayers Association remains opposed to Proposition J, and our analysis on the measure can be found here: http://www.sdcta.org/Uploads/Documents/FINAL%20San%20Diego%20Unified%20Parcel%20Tax,%20JG,%208-10-2010,%20JG.pdf.
Thank you again for contacting us, and I hope you continue to be involved in this issue. The community needs more people who see this propaganda for what it is.
And this tripe from a board member John DeBeck.
I understand. I do support the
Measure but recognize your issues! I wouldn’t have done it this way but I am only one of five! It will help kids but could have been better. If it passes I will work to make it more effective.
I have 2 words for DeBeck: Man Up!
Here are the email addresses for those of you who wish to follow with their own email protests for the unions forcing kids to take their propaganda home to scare parents.
Also, I wanted to review the SLOB’s over/under picks for the House and Senate:
76 House GOP pickup.
10 Senate GOP pickup!

For bonus points, I predict that at least one Democrat in the House will change parties to Republican after the election, but no senators will, unlike ’94 when Sen. Richard Shelby of AL switched parties.
I don’t have numbers to contribute nationwide…but I do think 3 (at least) house 1 senate for California.
