Dear Readers: I wanted to share with you some exciting news. I have been invited to share some of my hard-won knowledge on Tea Party online activism next weekend.
I am going to hold a blogging tutorial at the Wholefoods Buy-cott on Oct. 10th. More information on the event can be found at the Southern California Tax Revolt Coalition website, by clicking HERE.
The event starts at 11:00 am at the La Jolla store (directions are HERE), and I plan to be there shortly before and remain there for the duration of the event. The Wholefoods café is equipped with WiFi. So, if you have had a burning desire to add your voice to the growing Conservative blogosphere and help support FLAMING CAPITALISM, but was unsure of how to start, I will give you a crash coarse in the basics of on-line activism.
Topics I can cover:
* How to set-up a free blog
* Effective linking and networking
* Uploading graphics and YouTube videos
* Supplementing with Twitter and Facebook
By way of history as the background for the event, Wholefoods CEO John Mackey laid out perhaps the most articulate argument for real heal care reform, based on sound free market principles. As Mackey’s stance is counter to the Obama administration’s big government proposals, he and Wholefoods have come under attack and boycott. Subsequently, the Local UFCW 135 protested outside the La Jolla location against Mackey’s statements on Aug. 20, 2009.
In the spirit of Flaming Capitalism, The Southern California Tax Revolt Coalition would like to support Mackey and the long term success of Wholefoods as an engine for job creation and free markets by holding a BUYcott. We are asking San Diegans come for shopping, coffee or just snacks/lunch in the café.

I would also like to briefly opine on some current news events:
I did some science-related news earlier this week discussing the Samoan Tsunami. A new video discussing the event is below. As usual, the US Military is on the front line of disaster relief.
While this disaster was unfolding, Obama was out squandering his political capital in Copenhagen. I have always liked the Danes, as my beloved Mother-in-law hails from that country and my beloved Horemheb has viking-good-looks; never more so than I do now, however. They explain that Obama was the impetus for the first-round knock-out on the Olympic bid.
“It comes down to respect. President Obama showed none. . . . He was ill-prepared and his staff failed to lay the foundation for his appearance. He came off as an ugly American who knew nothing about the territory and who felt the world somehow owed him something.”
I can’t but help think Michelle Obama was a contributing factor! This comes courtesy of Michelle Malkin:
“Some of my best memories are sitting on my dad’s lap, cheering on Olga and Nadia, Carl Lewis, and others for their brilliance and perfection.”
Um. Ew. Oof.
Mrs. Obama was 20 years old when Lewis first competed in the Olympics in 1984.
So, instead of dealing with Samoa (an American Territory), Obama flees to Denmark. I submit that Samoa is the new Katrina. Obama obviously doesn’t like Pacific Islanders.

A study by two California business professors show that the direct effect of over-regulation on small businesses in California has cost the state’s economy almost $500 billion and nearly 4 million jobs. We need to support the legislation that will repeal the California Version of Cap and Trade (i.e, AB32) that is now hurting our state. The study can be found by clicking HERE.
Finally: W.C. Varones has a great post detailing a scathing Ben Stein piece describing Obama; click HERE to read. One of my friends at American Freedom network describes his experiences at a city council meeting in …Today I have lost my voice, but not my resolve…

Good luck regaining control of California! Loved visiting there many times, but could not stand living there with Granny Pelosi and crew. I might be arrested as Nazi?
Katrina ain’t been settled helping our friends in New Orleans, but our new President just cruises around the old world talking and walking. Good luck for us to get control of our own country.
