Dear Readers: Between San Diego and Richmond, VA yesterday, I was reading “Primetime Propaganda“, Ben Shapiro’s dynamite new tome that details exactly how television management has morphed through the years to predominately present the leftist world-view. I think that the publication of this book will become as nearly as significant as Rick Santelli’s rant in 2009 for conservatives in this country.
Why?
Previous expose’s on the Hollywood entertainment complex have essentially been a list of complaints and critiques — but few people have truly altered their viewing behavior based on uber-left monopolistic programming. Primetime Propaganda actually exposes HOW the elite left took charge of a key American industry. This book will essentially become like Saul Alinksy’s “Rules for Radicals” in a very good way. Primetime Propaganda will is a blueprint for how conservative America can bust Hollywood’s entertainment monopoly.
After all: IF YOU CAN’T BEAT THEM, JOIN THEM.
Our own Sarah Bond, CEO of the SoCal Tax Revolt Coalition, has been on the frontlines of this particular cultural battlefield — and reports our first major victory. Sarah has been involved in the marketing and branding of “Courage, New Hampshire”. News related to this production was released in the Hollywood Reporter: Tea Partiers Create Their Own TV Show and Production Company (Exclusive).
THIS ITEM WAS ALSO FEATURED ON DRUDGE!!!!

Sarah said: “I was thrilled to be involved with the production, as it was a real opportunity for me to use my artistic talents for an effort that really will make a difference. Courage is an example of quality programming that highlights the best about this country. I hope everyone can come to the premier.”
The premier will be in Monorvia, CA on June 26 (Click HERE for additional details). I would be there, except I am on the Right Coast this week — and will be touring Yorktown, VA that day! I am planning to post Sarah’s report here as soon as I get it.
Courage has the pacing and feel of a soap opera, though its set in Colonial America. While its creators are making it as a TV show, there’s no distribution partner, so it’s going straight to DVD after the premiere. The company, Colony Bay, is also trying to strike deals with conservative online TV outlets, like Glenn Beck’s GBTV and Kelsey Grammer’s Right Network, and are seeking a television VOD partner….
The first episode of Courage is subtitled “The Travail of Sarah Pine” and stars Alexandra Oliver as a colonial woman who accuses a British soldier of the crime of “bastardy.”
Riley said that realism was paramount because “Hollywood tends to make over the past in its own image – 18th century women become raging feminists; statesmen become agnostics or rakes.”
I am not a big of Glenn Beck. That being said, when I heard about GBTV (a potential place for this production to be seen) and Beck’s plans for an conservative entertainment complex, I was delighted. THIS is exactly the right way to counter-attack the the elite pap Hollywood has been passing off as “authentic” for so many years. It is this sort of new-media venue that is going to offer a chance for the public to have access to “Courage, New Hampshire”. New marketing approaches, such as the ones being used to promote “The Undefeated” about Sarah Palin, will also mean more balance in the American entertainment arena.
Even if these incipient ventures are not a complete success, we “Country Class” Americans will learn from the mistakes and failures — coming back even stronger with the next entertainment business model. Expect to see some real challenges to the entertainment mogols that present themselves as the most informed and authentic among us. Quoting from the Oscar-winning movie, Patton:
“Rommel, you magnificent bastard, I read your book!”

Thank you for spreading the word, Goddess!!!
A good day for Tea Partying!
