Dear Readers: I have not been a big fan of Meg Whitman. However, she is beginning to grown on me after the grand diva of narcissism, Gloria Allred, decided to trot out an undocumented worker in an attempt to undermine Meg’s candidacy for Governor. As far as I am concerned, Whitman joins the ranks of South Carolina Nikki Hailey and Christine O’Donnell as women targeted for despicable campaign tactics from the other side.
I don’t believe the maid’s story, and Allred has a history of undermining CA’s GOP candidates.
The good news is that I don’t think Whitman will be doing any more Spanish Language Billboards. Knowing that there is a darker side to Meg, I think the community of “undocumented workers” just lit a fire under her posterior. In all likelihood, Meg is now back to being TOUGH AS NAILS ON IMMIGRATION.
Subsequently, I have added a new category to the “Mad Men Passion Index”, in honor of Meg:

Jerry Brown’s rating remains unchanged:

Looks like I will be deciding who to pull the lever for far sooner in this cycle than I anticipated. Also, three other Californians I chatted with last night feel the same way. Thanks Gloria!
As an extra-bonus: BABS BOXER HIRED NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING UNDOCUMENTED WORKERS TO PROTEST HER ELECTION OPPONENT CARLY FIORINA! I hope her newbie protesters had all their paperwork in order!!! I guess those undocumented laborers are simply doing the work Americans won’t do!

Thanks for the link, Leslie. I had fun doing it and thought that a few of my readers, yourself included, would enjoy it.
What then actual letter stated:
I love that picture even though it’s specific to San Diego, it seems to me that it could be expanded, and applied to the whole state.
In fact I have an idea for the yes on 23 campaign.
The main result of the global warming act from the average person on the street’s perspective is empty store fronts with “for lease” signs.
It’s true from the northern tip of the state, all the way to Chula Vista.
You should see Visalia and Fresno. It’s a sad sight.
In Sacramento it’s hard to find a street which isn’t lined with “space available”, “for rent” or ‘for lease” signs. Every one of them equal jobs that are being done elsewhere.
What I want to do is put together a photo album of those closed businesses with the “for lease” signs with photos from all over the state. Make it into a youtube type thing.
Maybe have some background music. I thought at first the Tesla version of “Sign sign everywhere a sign”, but now I’m leaning toward the Mommas and Poppas “California Dreamin’”.
Only one problem. I have no idea how to put something like this together.
Salting it with a representative handful of WC Varones Greenspan’s Body Count victims would give it the human face. I already have pictures of homeless guys holding up a hand scrawled “Yes on 23- Jobs First” sign.
Leslie, thanks for the link. I am also leaning strongly towards voting for Meg Whitman on the issue of union pensions. She proposes to shift to defined contributions plans and that by itself separates her from Jerry Brown. She keeps making all the right enemies.
Turns out RICH wealthy Millionaire Democrat Boxer STIFFED those poor Illegal undocumented day laborers the pay they were promised for hiring them to hold signs! Talk about screwing over the little guy. I thought Liberals loved the little people/ illegals . . . oh , only when it is an election year, forgot.
