Dear Readers: A summary of some news I want to share — short, sweet and Shrine-style.
* San Diego Tea Party 2010; 11 am – 1pm, TOMORROW (Feb. 27th), by the Star of India. Roger Hedecock and Richard Riders will be keynote speakers, and other San Diego citizens will be discussing matters critical to California.
* Dawn Wildman’s (President of the Southern California Tax Revolt Coalition) chat this week with Roger on AM600 can be heard by clicking HERE.
* Get your protest t-shirts by clicking HERE! This year’s awesome design:

* Bryan Bloom, a San Diego Small Business owner who has been fighting the ridiculous regulations based on bad science from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) will also be speaking at the Tea Party tomorrow. He has several notes for Californians, including this one:
In his letter Goldstene (The Executive Director of CARB) expresses that the ONLY issue with the Tran report was Tran (the guy with the fake pHD from a UPS store) – the report, the science, the methodology was fine. Not sure how the lead author could commit fraud and his report could still not somehow be tainted but that is what the letter seems to express.
If you disagree with the letter, you may email James Goldstene at jgoldste@arb.ca.gov or call him (916) 322-4204 Here is a link to others at CARB with contact information http://www.arb.ca.gov/html/org/execoff.htm
The feeling is that the new report, which was ordered by the Board, will be the same report (based on Goldstene’s letter) but with a new name to sign it. This does not take into account the already submitted 148 pages of critical scientific comments on the original report – view comments at http://www.box.net/shared/x29h72bzbn One of the issues scientists with real Ph.D’s had with the last report is that the original report and the final report were essentially the same although public peer review provided 148 pages of comments critical of the methodology, the science and the data.
Also, if the science is so settled then why is CARB having a special meeting tomorrow in Sacramento to allow scientists to vet both sides of the science? Is this just a game?

Lastly, if you desire, you may wish to send a copy of Goldstene’s letter to the John and Ken show at johnandkenshow@kfi640.com and ask them to cover this very important issue before it is too late. They cover things that they get lots of emails on.
(We hope to get a report on what went down on CARB’s sham-a-thon next week)!
One of the post active heroes on the fight against CARB’s excessive power grab is Skp Brown, who has written a wonderful Piece: CARB’s House of Cards — well worth reading if you want to educate yourself on the meaning of true eco-tyranny.
