Dear Readers:
I am putting up the welcome sign today! Life has been busy, so I haven’t had time to open the doors to my new blog site as I wanted until now.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank many wonderful electronic friends from other forums for inspiring me. These include smartosimustbeabitch, rusty57, Jarhead Red, DAL, and my childhood friend Lloyd (with whom I had many rousing debates on the relative merits of Egyptian vs Hittite history). I would also like to thank my icons of blogging: Ali Eteraz, Dean Esmay, and the Anchoress — if you are not familiar with these wonderful writers, you should be!
This site will focus on my main passion — ancient Egyptian history. However, I will delve into other topics of interest as well. Life is filled with exceptional learning opportunities — and I want to share these opportunities with other Internet scholars and pundits. So don’t be surprised to see discussions on topics of current interest — tied into ancient Egypt, if I can do so!
I am hoping to invite some of my Internet friends to contribute. A soapbox is no fun if it cannot, at times, be shared.
Congratulations MUT! I look forward to reading your blog and hearing your views on Ancient Egypt.
Thanks for being the first “hello” on this site!
